Even a simple magic show is confusing in its own way ("Hey, where'd it go?")
But then there's REALLY confusing. I've had a lot of experience with this one lately, as I just started a new and confusing job (no, not this one). There's the new part -- that's bad enough. But then there's the confusing part. Nothing in the whole place is straightforward. It's like, "OK, do this, unless it's a Thursday and there's a full moon, in which case you stand on one foot and cross your fingers first, unless it's a month with 31 days, and then you don't cross your fingers, but you still stand on one foot, only it has to be the right one instead of the left one, but everything else is the same, unless someone sneezed within the last 24 minutes, in which case you do all the same stuff as for the 31-day month except that you stand on two feet, but only for 10 seconds, no longer, then you jump twice, but then back to two feet ... ," and on and on and on. Feeling exhausted? Yeah, me, too! It's the kind of job where you finally leave the building for home with your head totally spinning, wondering if anything in the world still makes sense.
